WHEN AND WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL?
Faux/real will be taking place from Nov 3rd to the 13th. Events are taking place across the city, but most will be concentrated downtown.
HOW DO I FIND A GREAT SHOW ?
Faux/Real is not just theatre shows. Faux/Real events might be about food, about cocktails, about poetry, about dance, about opera or for kids. You can find listings online or in the published program. The schedule drops on October 15th.
HOW DO I BUY A TICKET
You can buy a ticket online. Some venues also sell tickets at the door before the event (check the listings).
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST
Each event sets its own ticket price – see the listings for details.
I HAVE KIDS, ARE THERE FAMILY FRIENDLY SHOWS?
Real/Kids, an entire day of children events will be held on November 13th.
We also lots of shows meant for kids, or shows that Kids and Grownups will love. Check out the program for the guidelines for each show – you’ll see if the company has listed its show as a kids show, or appropriate for children.
WHAT ARE THE SHOW RATINGS AND WHAT DO THEY MEAN?
Show ratings are determined by the artists, not Faux/Real. Shows are required to list their warnings. Remember, Faux/Real is uncensored. Ratings are based on recommended minimum ages as follows:
HOW LONG ARE THE SHOWS?
Artists determine the length of their shows. Check the listings online or in the published program
ARE THE VENUES HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?
That depends on the venue. All handicap accessible shows are listed in the published program or online. Please speak to the Venue Captain to assist you with early seating.
IS THERE FOOD AT FAUX/REAL?
Yes! There are specific events that celebrate the food traditions of New Orleans and from all over the world. Vendors and Food Trucks will offer a wide range of food choices from exotic to traditional near the hub. Meat lovers and vegetarians alike will find something to tempt their palate.
Plus, some events are nothing but food. Pop-Ups and tastings abound.
